At what time can we access our room on the day we check in?

You can check in as from 2 p.m. on the day that you arrive. If you have a guaranteed reservation, you can check in any time during the evening. Therefore, be sure to enjoy your day before checking in!

Which facilities are available in the room?

All rooms have air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a large smart TV and a bathroom with a shower.

Can I have a cot put in the room?

Does the hotel have rooms for disabled guests?

The hotel has three rooms for wheelchair users.  

Do you also have connecting rooms?

Yes, ibis budget Knokke has a few rooms with a shared front door.

Are the rooms cleaned every day?

When you stay for several days, your room will be cleaned every day. Your sheets will also be changed every two days. 

Are there smoking rooms available?

No. Smoking is banned in the entire hotel and therefore it is also banned in the rooms.  

Which facilities are available in the room?

All rooms have air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a large smart TV and a bathroom with a shower.

Does your hotel offer room service?

The hotel does not have a restaurant and therefore room service is not available. Drinks and small snacks are available in the grab and go corner.

Does the hotel have free Wi-Fi?

Yes, a high-quality free Wi-Fi service is available everywhere in the hotel.

Does the hotel have a restaurant?

No, the hotel does not have a restaurant. Do ask our employees about tips regarding the nicest restaurants in Knokke-Heist.

Do you provide lunch packs?

Yes, we will happily provide lunch packs. They cost € 12 per lunch pack. Please order them the day before you need them.

Can I order breakfast through room service?

No. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room.  

What are the opening times of the breakfast room?

Breakfast is served between 7 and 10 a.m. If you would like your breakfast before 7 a.m., we will happily serve it at an agreed time with you.

How much is breakfast?

Breakfast costs €15.00 per person and is served in the form of a buffet. Children up to the age of 10 pay €7.50 and small children up to the age of 3 eat breakfast for free.

What is offered during breakfast?

Our breakfast buffet consists of different types of bread, croissants, chocolate breakfast cakes, four types of savoury spreads, jam and chocolate paste, breakfast cereals, yoghurt, a mixture of nuts, fruit juice, milk and hot drinks. We can also provide gluten-free or soya products upon request.

Green Key ecolabel

The hotel has the Green Key ecolabel:

  • We use a heat pump (renewable energy) for our heating system.
  • Our shower heads may supply a maximum flow rate of x litres an hour.
  • Our energy and water consumption is monitored and is reviewed on a monthly basis.
  • You will find many eco or bio-based products amongst our extensive breakfast buffet and snack vending machine.
  • We can cater for people who are vegetarian or have other dietary needs.
  • You will find a charging station for electric vehicles in our car park and you can use one of our bicycles or electric scooters to visit the centre.
  • We have replaced plastic cups by glass ones in the bathrooms.
  • We avoid using plastic in relation to breakfast.
  • The use of printed matter is prevented as much as possible.
  • We use as little single-use packaging as possible.
  • Waste processing is split into 4 streams (paper/carton, PMD (plastic, metal and beverage packaging/packs), glass and residual waste).
  • We prevent the use of portion bags as much as possible (for example, separately packaged chocolates).

What other initiatives are we taking to be more sustainably?

  • Back office: We invest more into digitisation and therefore we use less paper.
  • Welcome items:The items we use for our goody bags and welcoming gifts are carefully selected while firmly focusing on the environment and sustainability. Examples include reusable drinking bottles, cotton bags, etc.

Where is the hotel located?

ibis budget Knokke is located on a side street of Natiënlaan, the most important access road into Knokke. You have a fantastic view of the polder landscape in the hinterland from the hotel. The centre is 2 kilometres away, the beach 4 kilometres and the Zwin nature park 6 kilometres. The Port of Zeebrugge is a 10 minute drive away from the hotel. 

Are there eateries in the area?

Yes. The closest restaurant, Golden Buddha, is a high-quality Thai restaurant that is 50 metres away. You will find Brasserie Charl’s with a more traditional kitchen at a few hundred metres. We also offer ready meals at the hotel.

Is it easy to reach the hotel?

You will be driving straight onto Natiënlaan when you come from Antwerp using the E34 (European route). Turn left at the junction with Kalvekeetdijk. You will find us on the right after 500 m. 

Take the Knokke exit if you are coming from Bruges on the A11. Continue driving until you are on Natiënlaan. Turn left at the junction with Kalvekeetdijk. You will find us on the right after 500 m.

What is the distance to the station?

Knokke-Heist’s station is 2 kilometres away from the hotel. Follow Natiënlaan in the direction of AZ Zeno from the station. Turn right at the junction with Kalvekeetdijk. You will find us on the right after 500 m.

Where can I find the closest supermarket?

De closest supermarket is Colruyt. It is located at 900 m from the hotel.

Which tourist activities can I find near the hotel?

There is quite some things to experience in the area! Hotel guests can go to the beach. The Zwin nature park is also a definitive attraction as is the For Freedom museum in Ramskapelle where you can soak up some culture. 

From which age do children pay?

Children pay as from the age of 12.

Which payment methods does the hotel accept?

You can pay in cash but also through Bancontact, Maestro, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. EcoCheques and meal vouchers are not accepted. 

Can I also make a reservation when I don't have a credit card?

No. We will always ask for your credit card details as a guarantee for the room. This will guarantee that we do not have someone else take the room. We do not use this card as a payment method unless you are a no-show. 

How much is the city tax (i.e. tourist tax)?

Good news! You do not need to pay city tax in Knokke-Heist. 

Can I get an invoice?

Yes, you can. Please give us your invoicing information when making your reservation and we will ensure you receive the correct invoice.

Can I book a stay using a Bongo card?

Yes, you can. You can do this through Bongo’s website. 

I have an ibis Budget Knokke gift card. How can I book my stay?

Reservations with a gift voucher can be made online via our website. The gift voucher code can be entered in the second step of the booking process.

Can I cancel my stay free of charge?

We use two rate formulas: a flexible rate when you pay slightly more, but that allows you to cancel free of charge up to 11.59 p.m. the day before arrival. In addition, there is a rate that cannot be cancelled. This, therefore, cannot be cancelled at all. Please do contact the hotel if you are unsure which formula you selected.

Can I check in online?

If you have made a reservation through all.accor.com, you can check-in online. 

Can I store my luggage with you if I arrive slightly earlier?

Yes, you can. We have a lockable luggage room where you can leave your luggage both before and after you stay.

By which time must I check out?

You need to check out before noon.

Is a late check-out possible?

You can indeed check out later. You can do this until 2 p.m. provided you pay a surcharge of € 20.

What is the minimum age for booking a stay with you?

All hotel guests must be accompanied by a responsible adult in relation to each room (18+). An exception is made for parents with underage children or groups that are supervised by one adult. Written approval from parents to have underage children stay is not permitted. The hotel also always has the right to refuse to accept hotel guests.

Can we bring our pets?

Yes, pets are welcome provided that an additional cost of €15 is paid per pet per night. The hotel reserves the right to refuse to accept pets.

What is the additional cost for a pet?

We charge a supplement of € 15 per pet per night. The hotel reserves the right to refuse to accept pets.

Can I park at the hotel?

The hotel has 29 parking places. Two places are for electric vehicles and two places are for disabled people.

How much does it cost to park at the hotel?

A parking space costs €15 per vehicle per night. Parking spaces cannot be reserved.

Can I reserve a parking place at the hotel?

No, parking places cannot be reserved.

Are there charging options for electric cars?

Yes, we have two parking spaces for electric cars, which are equipped with a charging point. These places cannot be reserved.

Storing bicycles safely at the hotel

We have a lockable and covered bicycle parking that also has power points to charge electric bicycles.

Can I rent bicycles at the hotel?

You can rent bicycles at the hotel for € 15 per bicycle per day. You can contact us for this in advance by sending an email to ha009@accor.com or you can ask at reception.

Which coronavirus measures apply at the hotel?

  • We will ask you to submit a Covid Safe Ticket (CST) when you check in. If you do not have a CST, wearing a face mask is required. (Reservations that cannot be cancelled cannot be cancelled free of charge because of the coronavirus.)

  • Staff is required to wear a face mask.

  • Please maintain a distance of 1.5 metres at all times.

  • There are sufficient hand sanitiser dispensers in the hotel to regularly disinfect your hands.

  • Please follow the direction of the arrows on the floor.

  • Please stay behind the Plexiglas screen when you are at reception.
