The world around us needs our attention. The lifestyle we all want to live demands a lot from our beloved Mother Nature. It is essential to be aware of this, and each of us has a responsibility to treat our home, the Earth, with respect.
This was already taken into account when the hotel was built in 2014. The choice was quickly made for eco-efficient installations. In winter, the hotel is heated and in summer cooled, with the latest generation of energy-efficient heat pumps. All water pipes are hyper-insulated, which ensures minimum energy wastage. As has become customary, part of the hotel’s water supply is provided by rainwater, which is collected in huge water tanks, and in the Wadi in our garden.
Our guests find evidence of our efforts everywhere. This way you will no longer find plastic cups in your bedroom. On our extensive breakfast buffet you will find many eco or bio products, such as the beans for our coffee, the muesli or the fruit we offer. In our snack machine you will find organic wines, an organic soft drink and organic chips. It goes without saying that we cater for people with vegetarian or other dietary needs. Our car park has a charging station for electric vehicles, and you can get to the centre on one of our bikes or e-steps.
You will also notice that we rarely print something on paper. At check-out we do not provide an invoice by default, but we will send them to you by e-mail.
You can also ask our staff about our cycling routes, which will guide you along the most beautiful places in the nature of the area. We can also provide you with discount vouchers to explore the Zwin, the famous nature park and bird sanctuary.
Also know that we are absolutely open to your suggestions. We are aware that we will have to count on the goodness of our Mother Earth for a very long time to come, and that we must do everything we can to make it as easy as possible for her.
